Okay so I have finally decided how to condense by topic for my paper. So I have decided that instead of just looking at new media and gender, which is very broad that I am going to look at women and cell phones. If anyone thinks of things I should add, please let me know. Thanks

Abstract for Paper

I know this is a little later than what we were supposed to do, but here is my abstract for my paper. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know I am totally open and would love to hear what you have to say, I know this abstract is short, but I didn't really know what else to put in it.

In my paper I wish to explore how gender socialization has changed due to new media. Within this paper I wish to look at how the socialization process has changed as media has changed. For example the use of the internet, cell phones, and bloging, has changed how gender interacts with one another.

In my paper I will use the book, “Gender Trouble” to help explore the idea about gender and communication. I will also be using academic journal articles that look at the socialization process through new media.

This paper will demonstrate the different aspects of new media and its impact on the world today. I will use the information that I find to show how the socialization process of gender has changed since before new media became a huge influence on the lives of others.
